Auction Profit
When
Ebay propelled as a marketing icon in the online industry, numerous
people and companies promised methods to boost your auction profit,
make you a multi-millionaire, etc. Ebay is definitely a great tool for
selling products, but it’s not exactly as easy as TV commercials and
sites promoting products to you make it out to be. Realize that making
a lot of money requires a lot of eye-balls; however, Ebay shoppers are
like people at garage sales, they are bargain hunters.
To make a great profit, you will need to do significant research in
auctions previously closed for similar products. If the items are being
sold far below your purchase price, then you need to forget it. If you
ever here an auction program offering you a gross amount of profit,
i.e. $20,000 per auction, then RUN! These will not help you.
A rule of thumb is to put yourself in the shoes of the person you would
be selling too. Would you really risk that kind of money on a product
that you could get elsewhere for a more considerable price, like
Walmart?
One good method is to find a reliable drop ship firm that sells at a
steep discount and that offers even more discounts if product sales
increase. It is imperative that you research the products, selling
prices and suppliers before you jump in. Remember, these firms have
their own interests at stake and not just yours.
Realize though that some items will turn a good profit. For instance,
unlocked cell phones that can be used by multiple carriers would make
good products. These are good products because cell phone carriers sell
phones that can only be used on their network, this can give customers
much needed flexibility in terms of products and use ability.
