The Rich Jerk
WARNING!!!
The Rich Jerk and Paris
Hilton have a lot in common. They're both rich and they're both
jerks. Why is this bad?
For
starters, The Rich Jerk isn't who he appears to be....He's
just an actor, and I suggest you read this entire
review very carefully and get the facts on what the Rich Jerk is all
about.
Let me ask you this question:
If Paris Hilton went around boasting of how she was a "Rich Bitch" and
that you should buy internet marketing information from her website so
that you could become rich like her, would you take her seriously or
fall over in your chair laughing? You'll see where I'm going with
this in a minute, so stay with me.
First
of all, as many of you may already know, "The Rich Jerk" is a young man
named Kelly Felix who lives in the San Diego, California area....and just like Paris Hilton, Kelly Felix is no stranger to
being on television, and I'm not referring to infomercials either.
Here
was an already privilaged guy who enjoyed acting and appeared on
network TV shows like "7th Heaven" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
Apparently, his talent wasn't accepted by the mainstream to where he
was able to make a fulltime gig out of it. Sorry
Kelly, but if you lack talent, well, you lack talent.
Although when
egomaniacal jerks like Paris Hilton are involved, or in this case Kelly
Felix, they tend to see things the way they want, because spoiled
rich brats really think (regardless of the truth) that they're
great and that everyone else sucks. This theme is consistent with
Kelly Felix's marketing tactics.
All
of that rhetoric he spews about "I'm rich and you're not" and how
"gurus suck" is a different, yet very creative way to get people's
attention....and to his credit, it works!!
However this is a guy who already has a VERY LARGE bank account,
and has the luxury to do things like spending a small fortune to
advertise on MySpace among many other high profile media streams.
What people don't understand is that you're not going to get rich like
him just by marketing his program with one of the free websites he
offers you. He relies on the hopes and dreams of others and
gets them to open up their wallets and fatten his bank
account even more than it already is.
Disturbingly, I found much of the information contained in his
internet marketing tutorial to be quite dated, and it was by
no means unique.
The Bottom Line is that Kelly Felix is actually true to his word when
it comes to being a rich jerk. It's just too bad he feels
compelled to hide behind a cheesy cartoon character as his
pitchman. Kelly Felix's expression "I'm Rich and You're Not"
is just a phrase he uses in a lot of his sales copy as a unique
"reverse-psychology insult marketing" method.
Unfortunately, there are going to be many people that buy into this
fluff, and little doubt has been left that if anyone
confronts "the rich jerk" as to why they're not getting rich,
Felix can just simply shrug his shoulders and boast "I'm Rich and
you're not".
